For the Premiere section of the course, I would classify this as definitely the hardest unit for me personally. I, however, did complete the tutorials to the best of my abilities however I simply found the other applications earlier in the class simpler to manage, this may be due to the tutorials and their detail or my understanding. I started this project by thinking of an overall concept that would be simple yet entertaining through both audio and visual. This is where I came up with the idea of starting off the video and audio with a darker concept that starts talking about some of the worries and struggles an average person may encompass. Then I decided to turn it around with a more upbeat concept, such as the phrases “ Celebrating life” and “Find good in everything”. These are phrases that I have always read and put into perspective what we may be dealing with. To improve my work for the final draft I am planning on background music to fill in some of the spots where there is no audio. I also would like to clean up the sections where I have a white screen with text to make the word transition a lot smoother. A concept within the application that I found difficult and plan to figure out before the final draft is the transitions from each slide. I notice that my slides can seem “bulky” which is why I think with smoother transitions, audio to fill in the gaps and the roll on the text to slow down, I will be able to finish with a solid Premiere final draft. Another idea I have is to take videos while I am home and/or traveling to use in both the dark and light sections of my project. I am thinking of the possibility of the beach, mountains, or the traffic and people in the congested areas of town.
